Terry Wilson, 75, of Spartanburg, SC was called home on August 7, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born in 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Ted and Mildred Wilson, his beloved parents.
He attended Southwest Missouri State University and Murray State University before entering his professional career. His notable employers were Progress Lighting, Southern States Packaging, and Concept Packaging Group.
Terry was a longtime member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church. He had a strong faith and love for his community. From an only child to the Patriarch of his large family, he was an inspiration to everyone in what it meant to put your family first.
He enjoyed his beloved Clemson Tigers, golfing, reading, the beach, LIMP bacon, but most of all he enjoyed watching his family grow.
Terry is survived by the love of his life, his Bride of fifty-five years, Donna J. Holt Wilson; his daughter, Brandy Penn (Bill); his son, Bryan Wilson (Kim); his grandchildren, Cherry Brey (Erik), Meredith Slaughter (Ryan), Steven Zimmerman (Chelsea), Ashley Brewington (Rick), Taylor Mosa, Brad Wilson, and Ryan Penn; great grandchildren, Peyton and Kayleigh Slaughter, Landon and Willow Zimmerman, and Layla Grins Brey; his loving mastiff, Elphaba, as well as his good friend, Tim Allen.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 10, at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm with the service to follow at 4:00. The service will be officated by the Reverend Joe Blackwelder.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request contributions to the CCUMC Food Pantry and the National Kidney Fund.
