Rochelle Evans

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Rochelle (Shelley) E. Evans passed away peacefully at
age 76 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Inman, South Carolina.  Born September 7, 1945 in
Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in New York,  she was the daughter of her late beloved parents Saul
and Adele Borakove.  She is survived by her brother Dr. Larry Borakove and sister-in-
law Norma in New City, New York, her son Eric, daughter-in-law Elizabeth in Spartanburg,
South Carolina, her son Jonathan who resides in Florida, as well as several step-grandchildren
including Sasha, Gloria and Daryl, many step-great grandchildren, a niece Lindsay (Ben) and a
nephew Daniel (Danielle) as well as a great niece Isabella.  Rochelle was a fun-loving person
during her entire life who greatly loved dancing, parties, and most of all, people.  Rochelle was
also very proud of her first job as an executive secretary for ASCAP in New York City and met
many famous singer-songwriters.   She was also a successful licensed insurance agent and
hairdresser while she resided in Florida for much of her adult life.  Celebration of her life will
take place on what would have been Rochelle's 77th birthday at the E.L. Collins Funeral Home,
3120 South Church Street Ext. in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at
5:00 P.M.
