Obituary

On Tuesday, July 18, 2023,  Launie " Michael" Way of Gaffney entered eternal rest.  A native of Walterboro, Michael was the son of the late Launette and Howard Way.  After completing his education in Colleton County, he began a career in Plumbing and Air Conditioning Supplies where he rose to be a District Sales Manager.  Michael loved his children and wife fiercely and was such a proud Daddy.  He had the biggest heart. There was nothing he loved more than to help his fellow man.   He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved his Clemson Tigers.

He is survived by: his wife of 31 years, Ruth Ann Way; two children, Mikaela Way and Melanie Way;  a brother, Neal Way (Lynn); a sister, Elaine Knight (Stevie); sister-in-law, Regina Gonzalez, brother in law, Jose; father in law, Robert Nettles; and countless nieces and nephews. He was especially close to Amber, Angela, and Pailsey whom he considered his grandchild.

Michael was our protector, and supported us in anything we wished to do.  He was the best husband and daddy . He loved big.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, his maternal grandparents, Sarah and Launie Crosby, and his paternal grandparents, Catheline and O'Neal Way.

Michael always protected us, supported us in anything we wished to do, protected us. He was the best husband and daddy . He loved big.
