Obituary

Mr. Anthony “Coont” Devaughn Allen

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Anthony entered eternal rest. A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of Patricia Hargrove and Tony Allen.   A member of the 2005 Class at Spartanburg High School, He was employed as a Team Lead at Gestamp in Union County.  Anthony was a jack of all trades who picked up new skills very easily.  When not at work, he enjoyed a variety of things from visiting the mountains, watching cartoons and movies, and playing videogames.  Anthony loved doing yardwork and once rescued a cat.  At the time of his passing, he was restoring an antique car, He had a heart of gold, and would go above and beyond for anyone.

In addition to his mom and dad, Anthony leaves to cherish fond memories:  a devoted sister, Chanelle Allen of Boiling Springs; grandmother, Doris Parham of Spartanburg, significant other, Tiffany Rector of the home; step-father, Torrance Hargrove, special and dear cousin, Richard Chapman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mrs. Magnolia Allen and Mr. Jarvis Allen.
