Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in the early hours of July 17, 2022. She was surrounded by the family she loved so much. Annie Laura was the mother of 7 children and wife of the late Oliver Clinton Ferguson. She was also the beloved grandmother of 22, great-grand mother of 20. Laura was a vibrant and adored member of the community. She lived her life to the fullest. Mom was the center of our family. She loved to cook and entertain her family. Mom loved her dogs (Jada, Jake and Feebie). Going shopping, and trying new restaurants were some of the other things she liked to do. Even though she didn’t know much about football, she loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers. She had enough gear to open a shop for those two teams. Another pastime Mom loved was singing karaoke. She had a beautiful voice. She also loved to dance. Her favorite dances were the Electric Slide and the Wobble. At the age of 90, she was still dancing. Her last big event was Christmas where she catered to her grand and great grand kids. Callan, Kenyon, Kyeran, Kassius, Aaleahya, Demetrian, Bethany, Tim Jr., Cameron, Pierre, Brooklyn, Jeffrey M., Chloe, Travian, Tomera, Remi, Bernizyan, Carter, Jackson, Kiera A., and Brandon A. The daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie Williams Wood, she was raised and educated in New York City.
