On June 15, 2023 , the Angels of Mercy brought everlasting peace to Alfredia Ann Harris. A native of Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Garland L. Davis and the late Dorothy Mae Harris. She was a 1977 graduate of Spartanburg High School and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Alfredia loved her family and loved sports. In fact, they called her 'Shortstop', a reference to both her stature and her love of softball. She was a fun, yet, determined woman full of laughter and life. Shortstop was short, but she would stop you when you went a little too far both in the game and in life.
Her survivors include: her sons, Thaddeus B. Harris of Salisbury, NC and Joshua R. Dawkins of Greenville, SC; daughters, Triveda S. Harris of Spartanburg and Capathia L. Dawkins of Greenville, SC; brothers, Michael L. Davis of Florida, Leroy J. Davis of Connecticut, and Cleveland Cannadia of West Virginia; sisters, Garland Davis Higgins of Atlanta, GA and Janet Cannadia of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kyla L. Brown, Micah A. Brown, Nathan D. Brown, Malakie J. Harris, Myriah J. Harris, Anthony J. Haygood, and Azanaa A. Wright; great grandchildren, Skylar Navi Thomas and Machi N. Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Bessie Davis and Theodore and 'Lil Bit' Harris.
