William "Bill" Straub passed away at his home on October 12, 2023. Born in Indianapolis, IN, Bill was the son of the late Ernst and Berthelda (Corey) Straub. Bill enjoyed a successful career as a researcher and developer in the meat industry. When he retired, he became a consultant for companies as far away as Ireland and Japan. Bill loved hunting and fishing and had a passion for woodworking. He created many beautiful furniture pieces. While living in Ohio, he would find old bicycles, fix them up, paint them and give them to local, underprivileged children at Christmas. In addition to his second wife Donna (Huiqiong), Bill is survived by his only child, Lisa Brown; seven grandchildren (Jordan, Victoria, Kaleigh, Zachary, Ty, Nicholas and Anna; four great grandchildren (Gabriel, Savannah, Isaac and Adia), and his sister, Margaret. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and Tom and his first wife, Elizabeth.
