June 21, 1964 – July 21, 2025
On Monday, July 21, 2025, Mr. Taverick "Tank" Roberson was born in Kinston, North Carolina to the late Ida Mae Roberson/Jackson on June 21, 1964. Ida Mae Roberson moved to New York City when Tank was about a year old. Tank graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx of New York City. During his high school days, he developed the Art of Rap in which he proformed all around New York with MC JT and DJ Dollar Bill. Later in life, Tank moved to Poughkeepsie, New York where he felll in love and married Shawn Eato Roberson (deceased). He then opened a store and barber shop called Hustle Intertainment. Tank was the true meaning of a dynamic person and would help anyone in need.
Tank leaves behind his three kids, Durah, Taverick, and Jasmine; six grandkids, Amaja, Stoney, Gunner, Jazmine, Godrick; one great-grandson, Roja; dad, Clifford Jackson; three sisters, Shelecia, Carol and Cicely; two brothers, Vincent and Tramine; three aunts, Shirley, Helen and Lousie; two uncles, Harold and Butch; six first cousins, Delton, Tammy, David, Amanda, Clarenc,and Selena; and one brother in law, Travis Mclurkin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12 Noon to 2PM at Canaan Baptist Church, 132 West 116th St, Harlem, NY. A Repast will be held following the Service at Franklin Plaza, 324 East 108th Street, Harlem, NY from 2:30 PM to 8 PM.
For anyone who would to send flowers, Tank's favorite colors were light blue and black.
