On the morning of June 13, 2017, the Angels of Mercy gave everlasting peace to Mrs. Sarah P. Dial.  A native of Spartanburg, she was born on October 30, 1930 to the late John Patterson and the late Minnie Chapman Patterson.  She a graduate of Carver High School.  Mrs. Dial was baptized at an early age, and was a faithful member of the Maxwell Chapel Baptist Church where she served many capacities, including as the longtime Church Clerk.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Shantel (Derek) Davis and Courtney (Robert) Dial Thurman, both of Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law, Dianne M. Dial of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Keyera Gordon, Timothy Gordon, Ronald Porter, Kierstan Davis, Kerry V. Adams, Joshua J. Dial, Dylan R. Thurman, Israel K. Thurman all of Charlotte, NC; cousins, John (Budessel) Chapman and Bertha (Roy) C. Young both of Spartanburg; and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Herman Dial and her great grandson, Keyon Dial.
