In the quiet afternoon of February 12, 2017, the Angels of Mercy gave everlasting peace to Mr. Rickey Wayne Wilkins.  A native of Spartanburg, he was born on February 5, 1962 to the late Evelyn Proctor and the late TJ Jeter.  Rickey was baptized at an early age at Cleveland Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed attending various churches in the area.   A graduate of Spartanburg High School, he had a long career as a construction worker.  When not working, Rickey loved to spend time with his family and friends telling stories and jokes.  He was also quick to help those in need and never failed to brighten the day of those he encountered.

He is survived by his sisters; Beverly Jones (Arthur), Yvetta Hughes (Michael), Crystal Wilkins, Azesta Jeter, Freddie Smith (Ulysses), Annie Lindsey (Henery); brothers, Retney Wilkins (Sandra), Chucky Wilkins (Sherba), Barney Wilkins, TJ Geter, James Means (Marilyn), and Charles Jeter (Joann); A host of nieces and nephews; A special long-term friend, Sissy Miller; grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
