Pastor James Todd Stewart departed this life on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. He was born in Greenville, SC to the late Linda Foster and the late Donnie Stewart. He was the pastor of Dove Assembly in Spartanburg, and worked as a Superintendent for Liles Construction.

Pastor Todd loved God and picked his values up from his church family. Joe Mosley helped him grow spiritually. He never met a stranger and would happily engage anyone he met in conversation. He was an avid songwriter and guitarist. In addition to his love of music, he loved the South Carolina Gamecocks, fishing, and Harley Davidsons. Pastor Todd was a man of many talents including carpentry and most any other thing he put his mind to.

Second only to the Lord, he loved his family. His survivors include: his wife of twenty-five years, Terri Stewart; five children, Dee Carree, Tim Stewart, Anna Stewart, Josh Stewart, and Chelsie Harper; fourteen grandchilden and one great-grandson on the way; two sisters, Tammy Stewart and Ashley Stewart; and his lifelong friend, Brian Wade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Donnie Stewart, Kenny Stewart, Andy Stewart, and Matthew Stewart.
