Obituary

In Loving Memory of Rennie Marie Felmet Rennie Marie Felmet, age 64, passed away on July 29, 2025, surrounded by the Lord's messengers — vessels of compassion who brought comfort in her final moments. Though she has left this earth, her spirit remains forever present — joyful, warm, and watching from the stars above. Rennie was the beloved daughter of the late Richard Thomas Komara and Nancy Louise Torchia Komara.  She had a lightheartedness that made her all the more endearing. Her silly mannerisms, contagious laugh, and open-hearted nature made her someone people were naturally drawn to. As a mother, Rennie was attentive, present, and fiercely supportive. Her sons, Jonathan Ridenour and Joshua Ledbetter, were the center of her world. She was profoundly grateful to have known and loved her granddaughter, Lunar Ridenour, during her first year of life — a bond that lives on beyond this lifetime. Rennie will continue to watch over her, shining from the stars with love and pride.   She is also survived by her loving siblings, Kimberly Berry, Sherry Berry, and Todd  Komara; sister-in-law, Dara Komara; and  brother-in-law, Thomas Berry. Rennie found joy in the simple things: cooking meals with care and love, laughing along with every sitcom under the sun, and staying far, far away from any bugs. She often joked about wanting to be in "as many kitchens as possible," a reflection of her love for food, family, and togetherness.  Rennie was an artist at heart.  She drew the most beautiful pictures. True to her wishes, Rennie will live on in the homes and hearts of loved ones. The family wishes to extend deep and heartfelt gratitude to the loved ones who showed up with unwavering devotion in Rennie's final days. To those who sat by her side, held her hand, spoke words of comfort, shared stories, offered meals, and made sure she never felt alone — thank you. You were the hands and feet of God, offering care when it was hard, and love when it mattered most. We also thank the hospice workers who treated Rennie with dignity and tenderness — your compassion did not go unnoticed. These messengers here on earth — both family and caregivers — embodied God's presence. And in their kindness, we were reminded that the blessings are twofold: it is a sacred gift both to give comfort and to receive it. A devotion that brought the family peace during this time reads: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)
