Obituary

Regina Brewington Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born on October 8, 1959, in Asheville, North Carolina, Regina's journey through life was marked by her warm spirit and deep devotion to those she loved.

Regina dedicated herself to her work as a housekeeper, where her reliable nature and cheerful demeanor left a lasting impression on both colleagues and clients alike. A proud high school graduate, she lived a life that exemplified hard work and resilience.

Regina was a jolly person who found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a special love for the beach, and Oak Island in North Carolina held a unique place in her heart. There, she found peace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. An avid fan of television, Regina enjoyed watching "Survivor," often sharing her thoughts and strategies with family and friends. She also cherished meals at Cracker Barrel, where she delighted in the comfort of good food and cherished conversations.

Family was of utmost importance to Regina. She is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole Hammett, along with her four treasured grandchildren, Brandon Worthy, Austen Worthy, Diaz Hammett and Chloe Hammett, all from Spartanburg. Regina was not only a devoted mother but also a doting grandmother who found joy in every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Regina is also survived by her three siblings: Cathy Fowler from Swannanoa, North Carolina; Bobby Davis and his wife Judy from Lyman, South Carolina; Pat Edward’s from Sevierville, North Carolina; and Vicki Davis from Boiling Springs, South Carolina. The bonds of family were significant in Regina's life, providing support and love throughout her years.

Regina has reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Nelson Johnson, her mother, Rosa Lee Lunsford, and her father, William Herbert Davis, all of whom preceded her in death.

As we remember Regina Brewington Johnson, we honor her legacy of love, warmth, and kindness. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all.
