Patricia Cheeks was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 19, 1950 to parents Rufus and Virginia Rookard. She attended Foster Grove High School, and enjoyed activities such as cooking, gardening, sewing and watching basketball. In her youth, she was known to love fishing and spending time with family. Patricia was a warm woman who loved to socialize and have a good time. She is survived by her sister Ruby Johnson, her brother Sammy Rookard, her daughter Doris Moore, her grandchildren Jessica Boyce, Janelle Boyce, David Moore and Robert Moore, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Otis Cheeks, daughter Sherron Boyce, and grandson Eddie Moore III. Patricia returned to her heavenly home on June 15th, 2023 after bravely battling a long illness with her loved-ones by her side. There will be a memorial service and celebration of life on Monday, June 19th at 2:00pm at Collins Funeral Home.
