With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Michael Aaron Williams of Chesnee, SC, early Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024. Michael's journey was illuminated by love, laughter and the cherished companionship of his beloved wife, Mrs. Carolyn Williams. Together they nurtured a home filled with warmth and affection that embodied a bond that transcends time.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Frieda Williams.  After completing his education, Michael enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was trained as a Heavy Vehicle Operator.  He parlayed his training into a long career as a long distance commercial truck driver for Pinnacle Freight of Florence, NJ.

Among those who mourn his loss are his sons, Richard Shannon of Spartanburg, SC, Jevon Shannon of Spartanburg, SC, Michael Willams, Jr., of Philadelphia, PA, and Michael Sherrod Williams of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Syreeta (Ihkand) Mason of Washington, DC; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Michelle Washington of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Tyrone (Connie) Pearson of Philadelphia, PA; aunt, Elaine Wheeler of Philadelphia, PA; aunt, Jerrivene Daniels of Spartanburg, SC; best friend, Joe Alexander of New Jersey; godson, Jayden Michael Alexander of New Jersey and a multitude of other relatives, friends, and colleagues.

In the embrace of eternity, Michael reunites with his parents; his grandparents, Gordon and Katie Thomas;  mother-in-law, Annie Ruth Shannon Campbell; and his uncle and aunt, Alvin and Annette Thomas who preceded him in death.

As we bid farewell to Michael Aaron Williams, we find solace in the memories he leaves behind and take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. May he rest in eternal peace and his memories guide us through our grief.
