On Friday, August 4, 2023, Maria Volk entered eternal rest.  Born in Buchloe, Germany, she moved to South Carolina in 1991 and worked as a machinist for over 20 years.  Maria loved to make people laugh and to try new things.  She was always dancing and singing.  Being in the sun and swimming were her favorite things to do.  The last couple of years, she was always reading Stephen King and crocheting.  Maria was in remission from battling her cancer.  She contnued her fight as long as she could.

She is survived by: her partner, Ronald Burnett; daughters, Melanie Volk Guffey and Patricia Belcher (Gregory); and grandchildren, Monica Volk, Gabriel Guffey, Jackson Volk, Hunter Belcher, and Corbin Belcher.
