On Monday, July 22, 2024, Mr. James Wright, Sr. entered eternal rest. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Dorothy and Paul Wright. After completing his education in the Spartanburg District Seven Schools, James was employed at Clement Lumber Co., Slotz Manufacturing, and United Healthcare. He was a stylish man who knew how to dress and was never without his Stacey Adams shoes. James was outgoing, friendly, and loved life. As he used to say, " How can I be wrong when my name is Wright". He will be missed by all.

James leaves to cherish fond memories: his son, James Wright, Jr. of Gary, IN; grandchildren, Jasmine, Miracle, Semaj, Jaleah, Amira Wright, all of the Gary, IN; great grandchildren, Kamern, Kayden, and Jai'or Wright, all of Gary, IN; 1st cousins raised in the home, Michael "Sonny" Garrett and Rufus Garrett, both of Spartanburg; special friends, Lurean and Joe Crosby of Spartanburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mamie Garrett; aunt, Lottie Garrett, and 1st cousin, Sharon Garrett.
