Mr. James Paul Rice entered eternal rest on Monday, December 21, 2020.  A native of Spartanburg, Mr. Rice was the son of the late Clyde Rice and Rachel Butler Rice.   After receiving his B.A. Degree in English from the University of South Carolina, he began a career in radio advertising sales.  Mr. Rice also was a published writer and the author of the book, "The Death of Demark Vesey".  In addition to his mother, hem leaves to cherish fond memories:  his brothers, Stephen Rice and Clyde Douglas Rice, both of Spartanburg;  and a sister, Elizabeth Lollis of Cross Hills, SC.
