James (Jimmy) Richard Gage, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, June 17th while living at Terra Bella Assistant Living in Spartanburg, SC.

Jimmy was surrounded with the love of his family.  Born in Bakersville, NC to the late Arthur A Gage and Emma Lee Gage, he was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School.   He was last employed at BMW.  A previous member of the Boiling Springs Fire Department, he was of the Baptist faith. His favorite hobbies were fishing, boating and watching wrestling.

Those left behind are: a daughter, LaDonna Calzada of Startex, SC; brothers, Bobby A. Gage and wife Janice of Welcome, NC, Larry Steven Gage and wife Elizabeth of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Terri Coleman and husband John of Spartanburg, SC. He has two grandsons; three step-children and six step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Thanks to everyone at Terra Bella Assistant Living and Family Hospice for their care of Jimmy. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Family Hospice of Greenville SC, 1312 Augusta St., Greenville, SC.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd with Visitation from 2:00-3:00 and with Service to follow at Northbrook Baptist Church, 1881 Boiling Springs Rd, Spartanburg, SC.  Pastor Benny Green will be officiating.

Jimmy's legacy is one of love, laughter and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. His stories, his smiles, and his love will live on in those who knew and loved him.
