IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Francis Rando
Coursey
October 23, 1960 – January 3, 2026
Francis Rando Coursey gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at home in Spartanburg, SC.
Francis, affectionately known as Frank and "Bank" to family and friends was born to the late Francis (Juggie) and Margaret Coursey on October 23, 1960 in Atlantic City, NJ. In 2017, Frank met and married his soulmate, Stephany Davis. Together they enjoyed the love of a big family to include 4 daughters: Felicia Talley, Jasmine Davis, Darien Brewton (DeMarius) and Kendra Waller. He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Timothy Coursey, George Luckie Coursey and Levy Lusby. He is also survived by his daughter, Lanei Coursey, his sister, Cornedia Jackson, his brother, Terrence Coursey (Lori), his honorary brother, Robert Coursey and 20 grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives.
Frank graduated from Millville Senior High School in 1979. He went on to serve in the United States Air National Guard until he was medically discharged. Frank was known for his commitment to family. His nieces and nephews were also his sons and daughters and he loved them fiercely.
Frank was a man of many talents. He served his country, worked on computers before they were popular, repaired houses, worked on cars, drove a taxi and was ordained as a minster through the Church of God in Christ in Pennsylvania. There aren't too many people who could out-hustle Bank.
Frank was diagnosed with cancer on January 6, 2025. He went through bouts of chemo, radiation and immunotherapy. Although his final months were an uphill battle he continued to say, "I am not complaining, I'm bragging. Thankful to be alive to witness to others the goodness of God." In December he went home to receive in-house hospice care, where his wife and stepdaughters cared for him around the clock. He passed away in the early morning hours on January 3, 2026 surrounded by family.
Frank leaves behind memories that will fill our hearts for a lifetime.
