Mr. Tullis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kittie Collins Tullis of the home; son, Rodman Collins Tullis (Veronica) of Spartanburg, grandchildren, R. Collins Tullis II (Courtney) of Spartanburg, Geordon F. D. Tullis reared in the home, Tyler C. Tullis, and Kristen Tullis Moore (David) all of Spartanburg; great grandchildren, Shakur C. Tullis, Juelz C. Tullis, Chayce S. T. Moore, Sage R. T. Moore, Halo D. Tullis, and River M. T. Moore, all of Spartanburg; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Collins Anderson (Elisha) of Spartanburg and Deloris Tullis of Lompoc, CA; nephews, Steven C. Bailey (Michelle) of Minneapolis, MN, Dan Tullis, Jr. Ventura, CA, Darrell Tullis of Lompoc, CA, Daymon Tullis of Seattle, WA, Derek Tullis of Emeryville, CA; nieces, Debra T. Fletcher of Macon, GA and Dwainia Tullis of San Pedro, CA; godchildren, Pamela Dodd (Gary) of Spartanburg, Anthony Simmons (Jennifer) of Henderson, NV, Donald Peake (Allison) of Greenville; and a horde of great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dewey Ernest Tullis, daughter-in-law, Waverly Kay Tullis, mother Kathleen Crews, brother Rev. Dan W. Tullis, father-in-law, Ernest L. Collins, and mother-in-law, Emma P. Collins.
Funeral Services will be held on 2 pm Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 141 Advent Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. rites will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Collins Funeral Chapel 3120 S Church Street Ext. Spartanburg, South Carolina. An informal Hour of Remembrance will immediately follow.
