Ms. Chika Cherrele Murphy of Spartanburg entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 1, 2023.  A native of Spartanburg, Chika was the daughter of Helen Murphy and the late Clarence Murphy, Jr.  After graduating from Spartanburg High School she worked in retail sales.  Chika loved to spend time with and cooking for her daughters, friends, and other family members.

She leaves to cherish fond memories:  her daughters, Shemari Aaliyah Murphy, Amya Cross; and Kaliyah Cross, all of Spartanburg;  her mother, Helen Murphy of Spartanburg; sister, Reanna Hunter of Spartanburg; and a host of other family and friends.
