Charles Landon Whittaker, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, formerly of Tazewell, VA, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at his home. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Donald Henry Whittaker, Sr., and Hylda Morgan Whittaker. He was the former business owner of Coastal Awnings & Hurricane Protection Services, Inc. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Whittaker Childers of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Survivors include a son, Christopher Darren Whittaker of Houston, TX, daughter, Heather Whittaker Carter of Greensboro, NC, brother, Donald H. Whittaker, Jr., of Big Stone Gap, VA and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in VA at a future date.
