Bruno Gertsch, 76, of Roebuck, South Carolina passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 21, 1946 in Thun, Switzerland, he was the son of the late Oskar and Hedwig Kopp Gertsch, and brother to Hans Rudolph Gertsch, Ueli Gertsch, and Meieli Scheidegger (Gertsch). Bruno is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alida Gertsch; sons, Oscar Gertsch (Emily) and Edgar Gertsch (Melissa); grandchildren, Charlotte, Owen, and Griffin; brother Hans Rudolph; and sister Meieli. An adventurous and fun-loving soul, he travelled the world and made lasting friendships with many throughout his 45-year career with the Rieter Corporation. He was a quietly generous and humble man, always letting his actions speak for him. Anywhere he went, his sense of humor, outgoing personality, and zeal for life made him an instant favorite. He will forever be missed. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in the coming week
