In the early morning of Thursday, April 27, 2023, the Angels of Mercy brought everlasting peace to Brenda Diane Blackwell.  Ms. Blackwell was the daughter of the late Gladys Moore Matthews and the late Lee Matthews.  She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Odom of Clifton, SC and Sherrie Stepp (Timothy) of Rutherforton, NC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Martin and grandson, Austin Gene Hayes.
