Bobby was the son of the late Winfield and Viola Collins Byrd. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Tomika Jackson (Nicholas) and Alicia Farr (Jerome); and his adoring grandchildren, Destiny Farr, Jaydin Jackson, and Andrew Jackson, his sister, Bernice (John) Coan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was born and raised in Roebuck, SC where the family church was Foster Chapel Baptist Church. Bobby was a truck driver by trade. He was also a mechanic and loved working on cars. He had a passion for classic old cars. Bobby’s heart and gift was his guitars and love for music of which he passed down to his daughters. He was a member of many quartet groups such as The Five Harmonetts, The Mighty Linder Singers, The Silver Trumpets and Kindred Spirits to name a few of which he shared his talent and love of the guitar. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia Ruth Smith, Lousie Hawkins, Mary Fernanders, Juanita Copeland, Gennell 'Jo' Tolliver and his brothers: Winfield Byrd, Jr., James Williams Byrd, and Johnny B Byrd.
