Mr. August Lionel Striplin, Jr. entered eternal rest on Monday, October 31, 2022.  Born in Jonesville, SC to the late August Stripling, Sr. and the late Hattie Mae Stripling, August was raised and educated in Spartanburg.    He served his country in the United States Army and was a world traveler who loved life and loved his family.

He leaves to cherish fond memories:   a son, Carl Drummond, Sr.; daughters, Patrina Drummond, Shannon Wade-Mills (Elvis), Siane Stripling, Aiko Striplin, Saiko Striplin, and Miwako Striplin; brothers, Tyrone Stripling (Windy), Michael Stripling (Angela), Richard Stripling, and Gerald Stripling; sister, Joan Briggs (Alonzo), grandchildren, Jessica Wingo, Brandon Arledge, Tyler Wingo, Ruben Landrum, Passion Landrum, Carl Drummond, Jr., Jordan Drummond, Jade Drummond, Sauveli Stripling-Brock, Sireka Prioleau, Hassa Prioleau, Jamori Meadows, Joshua Mills, Josiah Roseburgh, and Everett Rollins, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, August was proceeded in death by his daughter, Ka'lo Stripling, sister, Sandra Stripling, and sister-in-law, Carlleen Stripling.
