It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Almyra Marie Webb on October 10, 2024. She was a resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina and a member of Westview Christian Church. She was born as Almyra Otterback on December 17, 1944 in Silver Spring, MD.
Almyra is survived by a brother Charles Milton Otterback III, two daughters Tammi Dodson (Robert) and Melissa Webb, five grandchildren Matthew Dodson, Benjamin Dodson (Bhumi), Mary Beth Villafane (Tony), Chelsea Davis (Tiffany), and Adam Hemphill, and six great grandchildren Lucas Hemphill, Lacey Hemphill, Ellie Dodson, Elizabeth Dodson, Wesley Dodson, and Corbin Villafane.
Almyra was preceded in death by her parents Allein Dorothy Hines and Charles Milton Otterback II, one sister Patricia Stork, and a daughter Lisa Webb
Almyra was a graduate of Academy of the Holy Names high school. During her career as an office manager and military equipment contractor, she enhanced her education with two years of college. During her professional career she was an avid adventurist doing parachuting, snow skiing, hot air ballooning, and taking ocean cruises.
After her professional career, Almyra became an avid quilter, designing and making numerous quilts and teaching her learned skills to aspiring quilters. When not engaged in quilting, she turned her endeavors to sewing and embroidery. Her embroidery projects adorned her children and grandchildren for years.
