On the Afternoon of March 20, 2019, the Angels of Mercy brought everlasting peace to Allene McIntyre after an extended illness.   A native of Spartanburg County, Ms. McIntyre was the daughter of the late William and Lela McIntyre.  She is survived by her daughter, Modestine Blackwell;  granddaughter, Cordelia Hunter; great granddaughter, Jessica Hunter-Ali; sister, Lorraine Thompson; brother, Samuel Mansel Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Ms. McIntyre was preceded in death by her siblings, Avista Surrat, Louise Jefferies, Tracey Thompson, Dorothy Posey, Ashton Thompson, Lucille Wheeler, Elbert Thompson, and Catherine Logan.
